What is Team-CBT Therapy?

Dr. David Burns developed TEAM-CBT, a significant advancement in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He is a well-known psychiatrist and the author of several best-selling books, including Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy, When Panic Attacks, and Feeling Great: A Revolutionary New Treatment for Depression and Anxiety.

TEAM-CBT is not a new "school" of psychotherapy, but rather an approach for delivering measurement-based therapy that has been shown to be more effective than traditional therapy*.

TEAM is an acronym for four key components of effective therapy that have been shown to improve treatment outcomes: testing, empathy, agenda setting, and methods.
